TMI Tag

Since I had a lot of fun writing the previous tag blog post, I thought I would do another one that I have enjoyed watching on YouTube; the TMI tag. I think this was created by Carrie Hope Fletcher who is one of my favourite YouTubers. There are normally fifty questions in this tag, but instead of it being one long blogpost, I thought I would just pick some of my favourite questions to answer.

1. How tall are you?
A tiny five foot, two and a half inches. As much as I would love to be a few inches taller, I am just grateful for high heels.

2. OTP?
Chuck and Blair from Gossip Girl. I have seen every single episode multiple times and I am such a massive fan of the show. Those two are just perfect for each other and I think they have really great chemistry. I have wanted them to be together since the beginning and I have loved watching their turbulent roller coaster of a relationship.

3. Favorite Show?

I have many favourite television programmes. My two favourite shows of all time are Gossip Girl and Lost. I did love Breaking Bad too though. Of the shows that are still on the television, I love Revenge (especially the fashion and beautiful location), Modern Family, The Vampire Diaries and Mr Selfridge.

4. Favorite bands?
I like a really eclectic mix of music. My favourite artists are Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, The Band Perry, Meatloaf, Frank Sinatra, Fun. and Robbie Williams. I also really love musicals.

5. Favorite song?

Again, I cannot give a simple answer to this question-I have many favourite songs, but I will try to narrow it down to my favourite five of the moment.

Come Undone-Robbie Williams
Romeo and Juliet-Dire Straits
Follow Your Arrow-Kacey Musgraves
For Crying Out Loud-Meatloaf
One Day More-Les Miserables
He Stopped Loving Her Today-George Jones
L-O-V-E-Nat King Cole
Moon River-Breakfast at Tiffany's
All About You-McFly
Come What May-Alfie Boe

Okay, so I couldn't stop at five, sorry.

6. How old are you?

Nineteen

7. Zodiac sign?

Pisces-I am known for blaming my indecisiveness on the fact that it is a typical trait of Pisceans.

8. Favorite Quote?

The background on my phone is the quote "If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong."

9. Favorite actor?

Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, Leonardo Di Caprio, Kate Winslet and Amy Adams.

11: Loud music or soft?
Always very loud.

12: Turn on?

Willingness to watch Disney films with me :)

13: Turn off?

Arrogance

15: Last thing that made you cry?

When I watched The Fault in Our Stars.

16: Last book you read?

The Lemon Grove by Helen Walsh

17: The book you're currently reading?

Any Human Heart by William Boyd
18: Favorite food?

Probably pizza and ice cream...but not together :)

19: Place you want to visit?
Many places, I really want to go back to Monaco and New York, but I have never been to Canada and that is one place I would love to visit. There are also many American states I want to visit, especially Tennessee, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

20: Favourite flavour of sweet?
I'm a vegetarian and since sweets have gelatine in them, unfortunately I cannot eat them :( I really do not miss eating meat, but there are definitely some kinds of sweets that I miss a lot and wish I could eat, especially Dolly Mixture and Foam Bananas.

44: Favourite Piece of Jewellery?
Probably my Pandora bracelets. I have three, one of them has a pink theme, one has a purple and a gold theme and I have a bangle that has a green theme. I really love them and wear them everyday.

45: Last sport you played?

I don't really play sports anymore, but I did go to two exercise classes this morning.
So that's all of the questions that I want to answer from this tag. I am sorry if I have rambled on and bored you, I seem to be incapable of being concise.

Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

For my first post, I thought I would do a tag. More specifically, the Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty tag. I am not entirely sure who first created this tag, but I think it is a really great idea and I love the questions.

So here goes.....

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

My most expensive item is probably this Dior palette that I got on holiday in Barcelona about three years ago. I think it was about 60 euros and I remember being so excited to get it. I have always loved Dior and this palette was a really great addition to my collection. I often forget to use it nowadays, but it is still really useful for travelling as it contains most of the products I need for a few days away.
My most inexpensive beauty items are the Maybelline Baby Lips. Currently, I own four of them and I think they are really great for adding a small burst of colour to your lips. Also, they are only £2.99, which is a really good bargain.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

As much as I love to wear red lipstick, I hate it so much too. I really like the way it looks on me, but it can be a nightmare to apply. I often end up smudging it as well or it can bleed and I end up with red lipstick everywhere but the actual place I want it to be. It is especially annoying on nights out, I find I am always having to ask my friends if my lipstick is still in place and I always make sure I carry q-tips with me just in case. I own a few shades of red lipstick, my favourite being the YSL Rouge Volupté in shade Red Muse (17). Even though it's my favourite colour to wear on nights out, it is a high maintenance shade.

The one product that I have struggled to find more than any other is the MUA Pro-Base Eye Primer. I bought my first tube of it last February and it lasted me a good few months, however, I was unable to repurchase it until about March this year. Regardless of which Superdrug I tried (and I looked in many) or how often I checked their website, it always seemed to be out of stock. I think that is a testament to what a great product it is though and I was so relieved to find it back on the shelves a few months ago.

One beauty brand that I wish was more readily available in the UK is Tarte. I purchased a few of their products when I was in New York last March and I completely fell in love with the brand especially their Amazonian Clay blushes and their LipSurgence lip luster, both in the shade Achiote. I know they are stocked on QVC, but I would really like to go into a shop and see the whole range of products.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

I think this question means which beauty product looks the most appetising, but I would struggle to say any of my make up looks that tasty :) I think the products that have the most beautiful packaging though are the YSL Rouge Volupté Lipsticks. Shade 29 also happens to be my favourite ever lipstick.

(From Left to Right-Shade 17 Red Muse, 34 Rose Asarine and 29 Opera Rose)
4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

One thing I am really terrible at doing is reapplying lipstick throughout the day. Even though my handbag is always well stocked with an abundance of lip stains, lipsticks and glosses, I can never be bothered to make sure my lips aren't bare, unless whoever I am with is reapplying their gloss too.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

Definitely mascara. Whilst I rarely leave the house without a full face of make up, on those days when I just want to be natural, I will always make sure that I still have a quick swipe of mascara on. It just does so much. My all time favourite mascara is Dior Exaste, although I really want to try their new Dior Addict It-Lash. My favourite drug store mascaras are probably the range offered by No7. I think their Exceptional Definition Mascara is a great dupe for Benefit Their Real, which I also love.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

I am a massive Gossip Girl fan and so my dream guy would probably be Chuck Bass :)

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

There are a few items on my beauty wish list. I would love to try the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, but I really cannot justify the expense. I would also love to receive a Chanel or YSL foundation because I hear many great things about them. I currently have about £130 worth of Boots points though (the result of saving them up for about 4 years because I have been too scared to spend them), so that might be something I treat myself to at some point.

So that's my first post and my first tag done. I actually found it really fun to write. I have wanted to start a blog for about three years, but I have always been too shy, however, I currently have about nine weeks left of my Summer holidays before I go back to University and so I have a lot of time to fill and many posts that I plan to write. I hope you have enjoyed this first one :)
